Objective: To compare experimental value to ideal values.

Entrance task:

  • 1. Please take Vocabulary Quiz on Quizlet (Must score 70% or higher).

  • Show Porth.


Lessons:

2. Finish Lab: Density by displacement

  • Make sure you used an equation to calculate your Densities.

  • Google the densities of each item and report on your spreadsheet in another column.

  • Use this equation to calculate the % of ideal: your value/ideal value x 100 (formula is "=e2/f2x100")

  • Question: How close are my experimental values to ideal values?

  • Hypothesis: The % shows that I was able to experimentally get close to the ideal value (i.e., steel bolt is the same density as steel bar).
